Kayo Ramen Bar: The Best Ramen in Portland I love ramen. It's my favorite food, and while I make it at home, nothing compares to the kind of deep, flavorful broth you get when dining out. That's why Kayo Ramen Bar is hands down my favorite ramen spot in all of Portland. Their noodles are perfectly chewy, their flavors are bold and creative, and the chef is constantly innovating. One summer, they had a vegan broth made with roasted pineapple--unreal. Right now, their Tan Tan Ramen is my go-to, but honestly, everything on the menu is delicious. There's always something special to try, and I love that they're not afraid to experiment with unique flavors. If you're a ramen lover looking for something beyond the usual, Kayo is the place to go.

Very unassuming resultant but affordable and high quality tasting ramen. Order up front and get served very quick. Good vibes and in an ever rising cost ramen scene great to see a more reasonable option

love love love!!! The best vegan ramen in Portland! The ramen is so flavorful, perfect spice level and you're able to customize the level if needed. The service is quick, place the order at the bar, sit where you'd like and enjoy the delicious ramen!

On a chilly evening, I highly recommend stopping by Kayo to try the MaLa ramen! Ordering is straightforward--you place your order at the counter, and the staff brings your meal to your table. The service was friendly and efficient, and my food arrived quickly. Food 4/5 Ambiance 3/5 Service 3/5

Great outdoor seating vibe even on a weekday evening. Came here to try their vegan ramens since last time I tried their non-veg ones, which were also really good. My partner and I ordered their mala and curry vegan ramen and mole tofu tacos. The mole tacos were a nice fusion snack, and packed some good flavor. But that mala ramen was special and had the kind of flavor that makes you want to eat more. I wasn't hungry and I ended up almost finishing the entire bowl! The broth flavor had a touch of that Sichuan peppercorn flavor and coated the noodles perfectly. And love the quantity and flavor of the marinated tofu they add to substitute for the Cha Shu. The curry ramen was also pretty good though mala was a lot more of my style I will definitely be back for another bowl

I came here for lunch and got the tantan ramen (from lots of friends recommendations). It was my first time at Kayo's Ramen Bar, the staff let me know I could take a menu and sit wherever I'd like then come to the front to order. With the tantan ramen you can pick your spice level, I just picked the mild and got the spicy sauce on the side. The tantan ramen was okay, nothing too special. It did have the flavors of tantan. Good amount of ground pork, nice soup broth flavor (a bit salty for me). I liked the addition of the leafy greens, and glad I added a seasoned egg. Not many toppings on this ramen but it's flavorful and I like its simplicity. There's street parking available, easier to find some parking in the neighborhood around here. This is a nice spot to get a quick meal, to meet with friends or have a meal alone. Great food for cooler weather too! Next time, I'll try their other ramens such as shio, shoyu or miso.

Amazing vegan ramen and taco place. I was excited to try these fusion Japanese taco - it did sounded quite interesting and it lived up to my expectations. We ordered vegan TanTan, Spicy Mala, Chashu and Yasai tacos. Liked TanTan, spicy Mala and Yasai all of them. The TanTan taco has the Mala mayo and sesame paste which is a perfect combination. Loved the spicy Mala - it has Thai chilies and pickled ginger takes it a bit up notch. We ordered chili garlic noodles with extra spice and OMG - it was so amazing!! Like the sichuan peppercorn flavor to it. The vegan TanTan ramen has a spicy creamy broth. It was so enjoyable to eat the piping hot spicy ramen. We had ordered via Doordash and the food came pretty quickly. Also liked how they had packed ramen - we could heat it conveniently.

Atmosphere: Nice atmosphere. Felt welcoming and bright Food: Excellent. Loved the ramen. Noodles were cooked to perfection Price: Price is reasonable for ramen. Will definitely return Service: Don't remember Parking: Street parking
